Asia-Pacific NGO Coordinating Committee for WCAR

A regional facilitating team for WCAR was first formed in the meeting held in Colombo, in October 2000. The team is regarded as important in conveying information to grassroots groups or victims, making their access to the conference processes easy, and encouraging them to bring their voices to the conference. This body can also coordinate NGO movements in each country.

Following NGO workers along with several newly-added members were endorsed in the Kathmandu NGO Networking Meeting (April 2001).

After the second PrepCom, there were also additions of the members.
